GETTING STARTED
Now that you know something about the Alexander Technique, you would probably like to experience it. Here are some suggestions for your introduction:

Private lessons ÷ You learn the Alexander Technique in a series of one-on-one sessions with a certified Alexander Technique Teacher. An introductory private lesson will give you a taste of the Technique and a sense of whether this approach could work for you. To find an instructor in your area, go to our AmSAT Teachers list below.

Group classes ÷ Some teachers offer introductory workshops in groups. You can contact an individual teacher or call your local Y, wellness center, fitness club or acting studio. [ goto list of workshops]

FINDING A TEACHER
The list of AmSAT teachers is organized by region, state and, for larger metropolitan areas, sub-regions. If you can't find a teacher near you, contact one in your region.
