Joan Arnold, a AmSAT certified Alexander Technique teacher practicing in NewYork City, has performed and taught dance, exercise and yoga for over 25 years. In her ten years teaching the Alexander Technique, she has introduced the work at fitness centers, health spas, acting schools, universities, professional conferences, on CBS This Morning and Fox Cable's FxMD. Also a freelance writer, she has written personal essays, celebrity profiles and features on dance, health, bodywork and alternative medicine for national magazines. She is a contributing author to The Whole Mind Catalogue, a recently published consumer guide to alternative approaches to mental health. She has been a columnist and contributing editor for New York Woman and NewWoman and currently writes for More magazine, Massage & Bodywork and America Online's Alternative Medical Forum.

Hope Gillerman is a board-certified Alexander Technique teacher and theater movement specialist. She brings her 17 years of experience as a professional dancer and choreographer to her work with performing artists. She has taught the Technique in wellness programs, physical education departments and rehabilitation centers, including Harvard Community Health Plan, Wellesley College and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. She established Alexander Technique programs as a faculty member at Boston University's Theater Division and American Repertory Theater's Institute for Advance Theater Training at Harvard University. She has presented the Technique to health professionals and introduced it on CNN/FN. As national media spokesperson for AmSAT, Hope conveys information about the efficacy of the Alexander Technique to health professionals and journalists. She maintains a private practice at her studio in Union Square, New York City.

WEB DESIGNER
Kurt Vega is a freelance web designer and programmer working for non-profits and corporations. He has taught classical guitar and worked ten years as an object-oriented programmer and systems analyst. He recently earned the Pratt School of Professional Studies Certificate in Interactive Multimedia. He is currently applying his design talents to several web-based projects. He has also composed music for plays, most recently Dominica's Smile, produced by New York City's Mystic Theatre. His ongoing exploration in the field of alternative health and mind/body therapies has led to a very rewarding personal experience with the Alexander Technique. Teresa A. Zimmerer is president of TAZ Communications, a firm specializing in corporate and association communications. She brings more than 20 years of experience to her work as a writer, editor and video producer. TAZ Communications offers a complete range of writing and editing services for print as well as coaching for public speaking, interviews and training presentations. Prior to founding TAZ, Ms. Zimmerer wrote the column "Money Management," published nationwide in 1,400 dailies and weeklies. She also produced the CPA Video Journal series. MEDICAL WRITER
Idelle Packer, licensed physical therapist, has been a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique for 19 years. She is a graduate of Columbia University's Master of Science Program in Physical Therapy, and currently works privately in Greenwich and Weston, CT in out-patient rehabilitation. Her clientele includes people with neurologic and orthopaedic problems, including joint pain and dysfunction as well as women's health issues, including pre- and post-partum musculoskeletal problems and movement limitations following breast cancer surgery. Ms. Packer utilizes the Alexander Technique's holistic approach within the context of physical therapy assessment and treatment.

TYPOGRAPHER
Debby Jay, Certified Alexander Technique teacher, is President of the Southern California chapter of AmSAT. Since 1995, she has been a faculty member of the Howard Fine Acting Studio in Los Angeles where she has taught introductory courses in the Alexander Technique to over 200 students . For 20 years she designed books for the top New York publishing houses, including Random House, Doubleday and Ballantine Books ö for whom she created the text design of the best-selling book, Women Who Run with the Wolves. She now lends her expertise in typography to help make literature on the Alexander Technique reflect the beauty and spaciousness embodied by those who practice the Technique. Debby recently brought the benefits of the AT to Next Planet, an innovative industrial design firm in Pasadena, CA, where she gave a series of private lessons to the staff. She maintains a private teaching practice in Studio City, CA.
